Firmware Update of the serial hub 7XV5655
=======================================

NOTE:
The Config Tool V15 must be installed prior to the firmware update. 

The firmware update to version 14.4 now also makes it possible to assign IP-Addresses for
the subnet mask and the Standard Gateway. These addresses are not visible with older 
firmare versions when using the new Config Tool. 


Load the firmware V14.4 into the serial hub.
 - Unzip the firmware Update in C:\Siemens\7XV5655\Firmware\Siemens_Serial_Hub_14-4.hex . 
 - Connect (only one) serial hub to the operate PC via a "cross over" patch cable.
 - Start config tool and click with the right mouse button on the device to select "Update Firmware".
 - Search for the corresponding hex-File, select and start upload.

All settings (except the password, name and IP-Address) are reset and must therefore be  
set again. 

Whether the firmware update and application of settings is possible over the network, 
depends on the network configuration and the loading of the network. 
To be on the safe side, the update should be done via a point to point connection.
